Hepatocellular carcinomas
Hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs) cause about 90 percent of primary tumors in the liver. Finding HCCs early enough to improve prognosis and to implement and monitor optimal treatment remains a clinical challenge. Recent studies show that at least 50% of lesions diagnosed as hemangiomas are actually hepatocellular carcinomas.
